For three years MCP has helped the DENR (Department of Natural Resources) catalogue illegal and abandoned fishponds in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. As a result, these areas are now designated for mangrove reforestation. The opportunities differ in each municipality, but the primary targets are Bais and Tanjay. Through Planting on Demand, you can help MCP to reforest more abandoned fishponds!
If you buy over 250 trees, we will provide you with customized proof in pictures of the planting on your behalf, somewhere in the coming months! All purchases, large and small, will be directly deducted from the public inventory of MCP, to ensure the highest level of accountability.
The GPS coordinates of this specific plot for 11,000 trees (against 10,000 mangroves per hectare) are: 9.548070, 123.154550
