Implementation partners

Planting on Demand is currently working together with the following implementation partners in Africa and Asia:

CarbonEthics, Indonesia
CarbonEthics is a non-for-profit organization that aims to decelerate the climate crisis through climate education and blue carbon ecosystem conservation. CarbonEthics strongly believes in a community-based conservation model – placing Indonesian coastal communities at the heart of the conservation work. When you conserve with CarbonEthics, you are not only creating positive environmental change, you are advancing social impact by directly enhancing the livelihoods of our coastal community partners.

CarbonEthics plants densely groups of mangroves in stretches, as a way to maximize survival rate of the seedlings in the tidal environment. There is no inventory from CarbonEthics. However, if you order a minimum of 250 trees, CarbonEthics will plant especially on your behalf with signs to prove it and you will also receive a Certificate of Appreciation in which you can personalize (for yourself or as a gift for someone else). Time zones and connectivity permitting, live planting feed between sponsor and planters can also be arranged.
Friends of Lake Tanganyika (FOLT) is a Tanzanian local NGO based on Western Tanzania on the shore of Lake Tanganyika. FOLT works to revitalize degraded landscape around the Mahale Mountains National Park through the ecosystem restoration approach of creating Forest Gardens and Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration.

Marine Conservation Philippines, Philippines
Marine Conservation Philippines (MCP) a registered NGO dedicated to preserving and protecting coastal resources in the Philippines through education, volunteerism and research. Engaging local communities and policy makers and working to ensure solutions that will benefit both man and nature in the long run.
MCP is particularly focused on combating ocean plastics and on organizing community-based mangrove reforestation, especially on smaller plots that have been used for illegal shrimp farming. The areas targeted for restoration are all within the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. The opportunities differ in each municipality, but the primary targets are Bais and Tanjay. Secondary municipalities are Siaton and Zamboanguita.
